About 30 minutes out from Minneapolis, we specialize in telecommunications, and all things electrical! We are a family-run and grown company and have been in business for over 100 years! Most of our work is done on a referral basis as we have made a name for ourselves throughout the region!

Position Overview
The Electrical Project Manager will oversee electrical projects from inception to completion, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role involves managing project teams, coordinating with stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations and standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage electrical engineering projects from conception through to completion.
  • Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring all financial targets are met.
  • Coordinate with team members and stakeholders to ensure project milestones are achieved.
  • Conduct risk management assessments and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Schedule project timelines and manage resources effectively to meet deadlines.
  • Negotiate contracts with vendors and subcontractors to secure favorable terms.
  • Communicate project status to stakeholders, providing updates on progress and any issues that arise.
  • Oversee construction management activities, ensuring compliance with safety and quality regulations.
  • Review designs and conduct site assessments to ensure project feasibility and compliance with NEC codes.
  • Ensure that all projects adhere to quality assurance standards and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Manage resource allocation to ensure the project is adequately staffed and equipped.
  • Utilize AutoCAD and other design tools to assist in project planning and execution.
  • Incorporate renewable energy solutions where applicable, ensuring sustainable project practices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Project Manager in the electrical engineering sector.
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems and power distribution.
  • Experience in construction management and site assessments.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and project management software.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong budgeting and financial management skills.
  • Knowledge of NEC codes and compliance standards.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience with risk management and quality assurance practices.
