Roofing Estimator

Position Overview
The Roofing Estimator is responsible for assessing project requirements, preparing accurate cost estimates, and managing bids for roofing projects. This role plays a critical part in ensuring that projects are completed within budget and schedule, while meeting quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Review project plans and specifications to determine scope and requirements.
Prepare detailed cost estimates for roofing projects including materials, labor, and overhead.
Conduct site visits to gather information and assess project conditions.
Coordinate with project managers and subcontractors for accurate project assessments.
Prepare and submit competitive bids and proposals for roofing projects.
Analyze costs and project data to identify cost-saving opportunities.
Maintain accurate records of estimates, bids, and project-related documents.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a roofing estimator or similar role.
Strong knowledge of roofing systems including commercial and residential applications.
Familiarity with EPDM, metal roofing, and tile roofing.
Excellent project management and organizational skills.
Ability to prepare detailed and accurate bid proposals.
Effective communication skills to interact with clients, subcontractors, and team members.
Proficient in estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite.
